KANSAS UNIVERSITY, Lawrence, KS
SCHOOL OF PHARMACY
Split Rock Studios created exhibits for the new University of Kansas School of Pharmacy building. The gallery is designed to attract visiting professionals and students, as well as potential students and their families.
Vignettes of a historic 19th century soda fountain and a modern pharmacy frame exhibits that trace the history of pharmacy from the earliest practitioners to the professional training available at KU's modern facility. Artifacts and audiovisual programs highlight historic medications, “snake oil” products, and advertising.
Interactive media programs present the history of pharmacy education at KU and allow visitors to sample a diagnostic training program similar to one students use. A changeable exhibit area highlights the cutting edge research of KU professors and pharmacists.
