The Great Lakes Aquarium at Lake Superior Center is an aquarium science center that uses Lake Superior as a study model to gain a better understanding of large freshwater systems throughout the world. Aquarium tanks of up to 150,000 gallons, hands-on interactives, site-specific habitat landforms, plant models, and detailed hand-painted murals will immerse the visitor in six distinct habitats around the lake, interpreting life both above and below the water line.
