Split Rock Studios

South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center

Pierre, SD

Split Rock Studios developed three major exhibits for the South Dakota Heritage Center at the state capital in Pierre.

The complete exhibit interprets the history of South Dakota from the early Lakota to rural electrification and contemporary agriculture. Split Rock Studios made extensive use of the museum’s artifact collection, and created history dioramas and walk-through environments to bring the state’s history to life. The entire exhibit features a balanced and engaging mix of low and high-tech interactive opportunities.
