Split Rock Studios created exhibits for a new library along the shore of San Francisco Bay. The exhibits celebrate life in the bay and help visitors discover things they cannot see with the naked eye.
The centerpiece exhibit is a mud column that houses a large aquarium, media interactives and many supersized touchable sculptures. A “Spin Browser” lets visitors scan time-lapse video to see how birds depend on the tides and mudflat. Outside, visitors can experience the motion of flight by running their hands along a contoured flight railing.
