Split Rock Studios

Kentucky History Center

Frankfort, KY

Split Rock Studios (Deaton Museum Services) created the major permanent exhibit for the new Kentucky History Center. The exhibit covers approximately 20,000 square feet and is divided into eleven distinct areas. Walk-through historical environments provide a framework for understanding various eras in Kentucky’s history and serve as a backdrop for living-history presentations.  Thematic areas, interactive components and the museum’s extensive collection highlight the diversity of the state’s culture and history. A centrally located “Almanac” exhibit presents facts and figures about both historic and contemporary Kentucky in a light, lively, and entertaining way.
