Split Rock Studios

The Field Museum “Ancient Americas”

Chicago, IL

Split Rock Studios created two beautiful hand painted murals, casework, and rockwork for “The Ancient Americas” exhibition at the Field Museum.

Stretching 62 feet long, a high-detail hand painted mural depicts a Southwestern village bustling with life. A second mural shows an Incan town with people and animals walking along a winding mountain road. Both murals provide an engaging backdrop for the display of archaeological objects and information.

Split Rock Studios also constructed a 14-foot tall replica of a Tairona Wall; built to the exact specifications of the curators and exhibit developers at the Field Museum.
