Denali National Park

Denali Park, AK

Split Rock provided complete exhibit fabrication and installation services for the new permanent exhibits at Denali National Park, designed by Aldrich Pears & Associates. The two-level space includes information about the history of the park, pioneers and native cultures, and the science of park and wildlife management and research. Entry exhibits introduce visitors to the park’s natural systems and provide trip- planning guidelines for those intending to travel further into the park on hiking trails and roads.

The focal point of the exhibits is the walk-through diorama. Startlingly realistic models of plants, animals and rock formations are combined with stunning hand-painted murals to give visitors an up-close and personal view of the inhabitants of this diverse and wild habitat.

The exhibit space also includes interpretive graphics, touchable artifacts, low-tech interactives, and a number of immersive environments that give the visitor the feeling of living in Alaska before the park was founded.
