Split Rock Studios teamed with Schmeeckle Interpreters to create exhibits for the new Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
We worked with the client team to develop a dramatic two-story diorama, complete with running water, a virtual thunderstorm, ambient audio, and a host of specific plants and animals to interpret the natural history and hydrology of the Ridge landscape.
This exciting introduction continues in the spectacular orientation theater experience—complete with a large high definition video, rumble seats, misting machines, and special lighting effects.
Themed environments combined with low-tech hands-on interactives, graphics, casework, and a large aquarium, complete the indoor exhibits.
The fun continues outdoors. A series of trail signs–featuring touchable brass models, audio, and nature-inspired metal graphic frames–dot the Center’s boardwalk trail as it winds through pond and prairie habitat.
