Split Rock Studios worked with the California Department of Parks & Recreation to replace decades-old exhibits at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center. SRS created interactive exhibits highlighting the park’s cultural history, diverse ecosystems, and extensive fossil collection.
Upon entering the building, a life-sized model of a huge ancient vulture captures the imagination of visitors. An animated video depicts the geologic forces that shaped the Anza-Borrego landscape and brings to life the creatures that once lived there.
Numerous dioramas, interpretive graphics and interactives give visitors the tools they need to explore the park on their own.
